Free Energy are a five piece band hailing from my current home, Philadelphia (via Minneapolis). And they're the band I'm most excited about this year. With LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy as their mentor and producer of their debut, seriously, how can they go wrong? Imagine Hot Chip had a lovechild with ACDC and you've got Free Energy. Really.
